Little Peas Program
This is a new children's program beginning this outdoor season. It is a way for children to get connected with the food that is on their dinner plates and their local food system! All Little Peas Club members receive:

Free monthly activity that is carefully crafted to engage kids of all ages and educate them about our local food and/or food system

One free fruit or vegetable per month from one of the LSqFM market vendors

Punch Card - this loyalty card is available to all kids at the market and they can get it punched just for showing up to the market. Once their card is full, they can pick a prize out of the prize box!

Food Education Program
This is a new program we intend to implement for the upcoming outdoor season. The program will teach the community about food preparation, healthy eating, agricultural practices, and food access. This program includes:

Free monthly educational events or activities that engage and educate the community

Chef demo with food tasting

Food preservation classes - how to pickle your veggies or preserve your fruit

Monthly recipe card for farmers market meals under $5/serving you can make at home

Giveaways that promote food sustainability

Win a mushroom grow kit to start growing your own mushrooms at home

Win a 3 month CSA membership with Geneva Lakes or Star Farms

Composting Program
While COVID put a pause on it for a bit, this upcoming season we are committed to composting onsite with WasteNot! Benefits include:

A sustainable market - composting will reduce the market's carbon footprint by averting all food waste into rich useful soil

Educational Tools - aside from learning to compost waste onsite, information on how composting works and how to start at home will be available to all patrons as well

Resources - WasteNot compost will be onsite every Sunday to help jumpstart at home compost or offer up information on their program
